Over the past decades, Africa has made notable strides in economic development with the digital revolution substantially redefining trade and continuing to be a catalyst for this economic growth.

This session will explore Africa’s growth potential as a digitally driven economy. As Africa increasingly experiences a growing wave of innovations and Governments place Internet – driven growth firmly on their development agendas, panellists will address friction factors: digital infrastructure, shortage of capital and skilled labour, payment systems and data security, volumes of localized content; that are preventing economies from realizing the Internet’s full benefits.

It further explores policy interventions, partnerships and opportunities that could unleash Africa’s economic growth.
